Frequently Asked
Questions
What is your background?
I'm a seasoned entrepreneur, business consultant, and marketing professional with a track record of success in the fields of fashion, luxury, sustainability, and tech.
I hold a CEMS Master’s in International Management by ESADE Barcelona and NOVA SBE Lisbon, and a Bachelor’s in International Economics, Finance, and Management from Bocconi University Milan. Most recently, I completed a Sustainable Business Strategy Executive Course from Harvard University.
Complementary to my career in business, I've been doubling as photographer, creative director, and producer for the past 10 years, noteworthy clients including ELLE, Marie Claire, Glamour, Zara, Diesel, Guess, and RVCA.
Happy to connect via LinkedIn.
What kind of photography do you specialise in?
I specialise in shooting fashion editorials, campaigns, lookbooks, e-commerce packs, product stills, and brand content for fashion, beauty, and jewellery labels.
Additionally, I shoot a lot of travel and surf related content for magazines, brands, resorts, and so forth.
Where are you based?
For the past few years I’ve been living in sunny Lisbon, Portugal. Currently, I'm splitting my time between Lisbon, Berlin, and Biarritz, and I often travel for work and photo assignments.
Can I buy prints of your photos?
Yes! I’m delighted that you’re keen on purchasing prints of my work; I offer different sizes, print and framing options for you to choose from. You can check out my fine art prints here.
Do you shoot in studio or outdoors?
Both. I absolutely love shooting on location as I feel it provides more context to the story and helps add another layer of depth to the imagery. At the same time, I’m very fond of studio work as it allows a cleaner set-up and a controlled environment to shoot.
We can establish together which option would be more suitable for your project.
Do you have a studio?
Given the international dimension of my work and the frequent travels I do not have my own studio for the time being. I do, however, have a great network of partner studios that I work with – in Lisbon, Milan, Berlin, Paris, and London, among others. I’m very easy going and resourceful, so finding and booking a photo studio for our shoot shouldn’t be an issue, no matter where you are!
What are your rates?
My rates are tailored individually for each project, depending on the client and scope of the work, the commercial goals of the photography, the duration and use of the imagery, and so on.

I am currently shooting with Canon equipment, but Nikon has been my go-to for years. I have plenty of cameras and lenses, both analogue and digital. If you have any particular requirements, please feel free to inquire.
Do you do video as well?
I can provide short image clips for social media use, but I prefer working with top-notch professionals in the field when it comes to video requirements. If you need any video content created, please let me know and I’d be happy to bring on board excellent videographers, cinematographers, and colour grading specialists.
Do you offer drone photography and / or video footage?
This extends beyond my field of expertise at the moment, but I have excellent contacts I’d be happy to bring on board for your project.
What kind of clients do you shoot for?
I shoot mostly for brands and magazines – indie, mainstream, emerging, established, and everything in between. Brand owners, marketing managers, creative directors, agencies… you name it, book me! The most important aspect for me is working alongside passionate, like-minded professionals. On some shoots we have a team of up to 30 people on set, while on other occasions it’s just the model and me. I love what I do and I’m always thrilled to get involved in interesting projects; please don't hesitate to reach out!
Do you have a team you work with?
I have a great team I usually work with and we are all available for international photo bookings.
Also, I have an excellent network of professionals I’ve worked with previously all across Europe. If we’re shooting some place new, I’m fully comfortable scouting for talent to work with, coordinating with agencies, conducting castings, location scouting and so forth. I’m confident that we can round up a fantastic team, no matter what.
Are you available for international photo assignments?
Absolutely, that’s one of my favourite things about being a photographer – it allows me to discover so many exciting destinations. I’ve been shooting all over, from Costa Rica, to the Canary Islands, Morocco, and Indonesia.
Also, I speak six languages, which often comes in handy when we manage international photo productions.
Do you offer remote photo shoots for clients?
Yes! I do offer remote shoots, and I’ve worked with clients from all over Europe, USA, Canada, Singapore, Australia, and so on.
In a nutshell: the client hires me to photograph for them at a different location than the one where they are. I’m in charge of photography, art direction, and production, while the client needs to provide minimal input. Kick back and relax, we got this!
This is how it works: the client sends over the products on consignment for the duration of the shoot. I’m in charge of organising and managing the entire photo shoot, while the client is consulted at every step of the way. Concept, models, locations, props, and so forth, are agreed upon together. Then, once the shoot is completed, I ship the products back to the brand right away. All the goods are within my responsibility for the duration of the shoot, and should anything happen to an item, I am liable for it. Hence, there is no risk for the client. Of course, we make a contractual agreement prior to the photo shoot, and both parties agree upon all terms beforehand.
This service provides a quick, easy, and cost-effective way for brands to conduct photo shoots. Most clients are looking to book this kind of photo session for lookbooks, product stills, e-commerce photography, or brand content.
The benefits vary: sometimes, a brand is looking for a specific type of imagery (ex: shooting bikinis or surf apparel in a warm, sunny location); other times, the client is looking for a smart budget alternative (ex: cheaper to shoot in Portugal vs. Australia).
Last but not least, I’m delighted to be offering this type of service given the current COVID19 restrictions. For many brands and creative teams it is no longer possible to travel for photo shoots, nor gather in large teams; in some cases, brands can simply not afford a big budget shoot for the time being. I’m happy to provide quick, professional, and safe remote photo shoots for fashion, lifestyle, and beauty brands worldwide.
Do you offer bundle photo shoot options?
Yes, it is possible to organise a photo shoot for more brands at once.
Usually, this package is sought after by brands looking to partner up with others providing complementary products (ex: a jewellery, a womenswear, and a shoe brand team up for a bundle photo shoot).
This type of photo session provides various strategic and financial benefits to each of the brands involved, such as: smart budget management; booking higher end models; easy styling; partnering with other brands for cross promotion, etc.
If you’re interested to learn more, or if you already have a few brands you’d like us to work with, please drop me an e-mail.
What is required to officially book you?
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the photo shoot dates in my calendar.
What is the payment structure like?
A 30% deposit is required to secure the photo shoot dates in my calendar. An additional 20% is due on the day of the shoot. The final 50% is due once the images are retouched and ready to be sent to the client.
What format do you shoot?
I shoot in RAW format to ensure the highest quality of output possible.
Do you provide clients with all the files from the shoot?
No, like most other professional photographers I do not provide all the files from a shoot. As you can imagine, we often shoot thousands of images in a day. Together with the client we agree upon the number of images to be delivered for selection, as well as for retouching, prior to the booking.
Can you provide us with the RAW photo files?
I do not provide clients with RAW files.
How many images do you retouch?
It depends on the scope of the project, the use of the images, the number of items or looks we shoot, and so forth. This is agreed with the client prior to the booking.
After the delivery of the images, in case a client wishes to purchase additional images, it is possible to do so at a fixed per image rate.
How long does it take you to edit the photos?
Depending on how busy my agenda is at the time of the shoot, as well as the timeline of the client, we agree together on the most convenient turnaround time. I’m usually quick to do the pre-selection and the retouching, granted that the images do not require extensive beauty corrections or colour treatments.
In case of an urgent deadline, there’s always the option to bring on board a digital assistant and a retoucher, for instance.
Please kindly let me know at the beginning of the collaboration if you have specific deadlines we need to meet.
How do I choose the photos you edit, and how will I receive my pictures?
Firstly, I will share with you a pre-selection of images through a link sent to the e-mail address you provide me with. You will then be able to access an online gallery where you can view the images; here you select your favourites for retouching.
After I receive your selection, I proceed with the photo editing.
As soon as I finish retouching the images, I will send you a low-resolution proof that the work has been completed.
At this stage, you are required to proceed with the final payment (50%). Once I have the payment confirmation, I will send you the high quality retouched files via WeTransfer.
What if I lose my images?
There is a €100 replacement charge for additional downloads after the images have been archived. I strongly recommend that you make at least one copy of the download when you receive it.
If we cancel the photo shoot, will we receive our retainer fee back?
Unfortunately, no. Retainer fees are used to reserve your date. Once I’ve reserved your date in my calendar, I do not accept new clients for your date.
If we change our photo shoot to a different date, will we be able to use our retainer fee towards a future date?
This is taken on a case-by-case basis, considering the reason for rescheduling and my availability for the new dates. In the case in which my rates change from your original date to your new date, kindly note that the new rates will apply.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please send me an e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you!
